> More than 100 PhD’s from more than 20 countries joined each of the 19 editions of the PhD School. Now, we are ready for the 20th anniversary with a very high level program, including international distinguish lecturers from academia and industry. The School will be held again in the ancient Angevin Castle of the seaside town of Gaeta, Italy, from May 20-24, 2019.

> Poster Sessions: PhD’s finalizing their project work will present results of their research activities to other PhD’s and to company delegates in a dedicated poster session, scheduled on Monday, May 20th, in the afternoon. After the session, a meeting between PhD’s and company delegates will be organized for recruitment and internships.

> PhD’s at the beginning of their studies will present research activities in a separated poster session scheduled the third day of the School week. All PhD’s can join the Monday recruitment session.
>
> Live Demos: during the second day of the PhD School special “Live Demos” will run, to show tools and equipment dedicated to Educational Programs.
>

To take advantage of this opportunity, PhD’s can indicate the IEEE membership number in the registration form, in case they are IES members. Terms and conditions will be published on the PhD School website upon final approval by IEEE-IES.

> PhD School Award 2019: ANAE and ECPE will sponsor the 2019 Edition European PhD School Award. A special commission will examine posters presented during Monday poster sessions and will select the best posters, on the basis of the presentation and research contents. The Award of € 500,00 will be assigned during the Monday evening banquet.
>
> ECTS credits: it is mandatory to pass the PhD Final Evaluation Test to achieve ECTS certification. The final test is scheduled just after the last lecture of May 24th, 2019. Alternatively, a certification of attendance will be issued.
>
> Social events: as in our tradition, one of the main goals of the PhD school is to promote networking and cooperation of PhD’s in Europe. The location of the School, the entire program structure, the organization of lunches, social dinner and evening aperitif are finalized to this!
>
> Registration fee: thanks to our supporters and sponsors, we can keep the registration fee to a very low value, as it includes School bag, proceedings, coffee breaks, lunches, social dinner and all other social events. Accommodation is not included, but PhD’s can have access to very cheap hotel and B&B fares, as the PhD School organization signed several agreements with local accommodation services. You can find all accommodation opportunities on our website.

> More detailed information about the program, enrollment procedures and deadlines are available on our website (www.phd-school.org). Early bird registration deadline is: March 15th, 2019.

> The European PhD School is organized by University of Cassino and South Lazio (Italy), ANAE (Italian Association of Electrical Drives) and ECPE (European Center of Power Electronics, Germany), in cooperation with CMAEL and GUSEE associations for Italy. The School is open to all international PhD’s, as the official language is English. Upon request, young researchers coming from academia and from industries can also apply.
