<p>Dear all,</p>
<p>on <b>Friday, March 13, and Tuesday, March 24, 2026</b>, the
Evaluation Committee of the PhD Courses in Micro- and
Nano-Electronics will convene for the yearly assessment of the
activity of the first, second and third year students. The meeting
will take place in the Magenta seminar room. A zoom link, for
students and committee members who cannot attend in person, will
be set up and circulated before the meeting. In view of the
Evaluation Committee meeting, the students need to comply with the
following requirements.</p>
<p><b>First and second year students</b> are required to provide an
<b>annual activity report</b> describing the main results of the
research activity carried out during the last year. The report <b>must
not exceed four pages, plus the cover page and the list of the
educational activities ("consuntivo dei crediti acquisiti")
carried out during the last year together with the credits
acquired during the previous year</b> (case of second year
students). The report must be validated by the student's
supervisor. A copy of the report in pdf format must be sent by
email to myself (<b><a
class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="mailto:lodovico.ratti@unipv.it">lodovico.ratti@unipv.it</a></b>)
and to Alice Albini (<b><a
class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated moz-txt-link-freetext"

by <b>Friday, March 20</b>. For your report you are invited to
use one of the two templates (word or latex) included in the
attached zip archive (templates.zip). Please comply with the
indications in the files.</p>
<p><b>Second and third year students</b> are required to prepare an
<b>oral presentation</b> on their research activity, to be given
during the Evaluation Committee meeting. For their presentation,
second year students will have <b>15 minutes</b>, while third
year students will have <b>30 minutes, including a 5 minute slot
for Q&A</b>. Presentations will be given according the
schedule in the attached document, which includes agenda of the
Committee meeting (<b>AGENDA-PhD-MNE_Mar2026.pdf</b>). The
document also includes the list of first-year students that are
supposed to deliver their report.</p>
<p><b>Third year students, </b>applying for admission to the final
PhD examination, should also submit an abstract of their thesis
manuscript to the Committee, together with <b>the list of the
educational activities carried out during the last year together
with the credits acquired during the previous years</b>. A copy
of the abstract with acquired credits must be sent to myself (<b><a
class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated moz-txt-link-freetext"

and to Alice Albini (<b><a

<p>- <b>first year students</b>: annual activity report + list of
educational activities by <b>Friday, March 20</b>;</p>
<p>- <b>second year students</b>: annual activity report + list of
educational activities by <b>Friday, March 20</b> + oral
presentation (15 min) <b>according to the attached agenda</b>;</p>
<p>- <b>third year students</b>: thesis abstract + list of
educational activities by <b>Tuesday, March 10</b> + oral
presentation (30 min, 25 min presentation + 5 min Q&A) <b>according
to the attached agenda</b>.</p>
