<p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>Dear all,</span></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>on </span><strong><span>Monday,
September 28, Tuesday, September 29, and Wednesday, September
30, 2026</span></strong><span>, the Evaluation Committee of
the PhD Course in Micro- and Nano-Electronics will meet for the
annual assessment of the activities of the first-, second-, and
third-year students. The meetings will take place in the Magenta
seminar room. A Zoom link will be set up and circulated before
the meetings for students and Committee members who cannot
attend in person.</span></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>In view of the Evaluation Committee
meetings, the students are required to comply with the following
requirements.</span></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>First- and second-year
students</span></strong><span> are required to provide an </span><strong><span>annual
activity report</span></strong><span> describing the main
results of the research activity carried out during the last
year. The report </span><strong><span>must not exceed four
pages, plus the cover page and the list of educational
activities ("consuntivo dei crediti acquisiti")</span></strong><span>
carried out during the last year, together with the credits
acquired during the previous year (for second-year students).
The report must also include a </span><strong><span>thesis
title, which may be provisional</span></strong><span> at this
stage. The report must be validated by the student's supervisor.</span></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>A copy of the report in PDF format
must be sent by email to me (</span><strong><a
href="mailto:lodovico.ratti@unipv.it"><span>lodovico.ratti@unipv.it</span></a></strong><span>)
and to Alice Albini (</span><strong><a
href="mailto:alice.albini@unipv.it"><span>alice.albini@unipv.it</span></a></strong><span>)
by </span><strong><span>Monday, September 21</span></strong><span>.</span></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>For the report, you are invited to
use one of the two templates (Word or LaTeX) included in the
attached zip archive (</span><strong><span>templates.zip</span></strong><span>).
Please follow the instructions provided in the templates.</span></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Second- and third-year
students</span></strong><span> are required to prepare an </span><strong><span>oral
presentation</span></strong><span> on their research activity,
to be given during the Evaluation Committee meeting. Second-year
students will have </span><strong><span>20 minutes</span></strong><span>,
including a 5-minute Q&A session, while third-year students
will have </span><strong><span>30 minutes</span></strong><span>,
including a 5-minute Q&A session.</span></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>Presentations will be given according
to the schedule in the attached document, which contains the
agenda of the Committee meetings (</span><strong><span>AGENDA-PhD-MNE_sep2026.pdf</span></strong><span>).
The document also includes the list of first-year students who
are required to submit an activity report.</span></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Third-year students applying
for admission to the final PhD examination</span></strong><span>
should also submit an </span><strong><span>abstract of their
thesis manuscript, including the thesis title</span></strong><span>,
to the Committee, together with </span><strong><span>the list
of educational activities carried out during the last year and
the credits acquired during the previous years</span></strong><span>.</span></p>
