*Abstract:*
The presented research is linked to the regione-Lombardia-project hub4cwe
about the dispersion of pollutants in the water cycle. The simulation of
underground water flow is challenging as both the piezometric head and its
domain are unknown, i.e., it is a free boundary problem.

The use of parameterized domains in isogeometric analysis suggests that
this method can be a good match to the free boundary problem.

I will present the model and the current efforts to set up an
isogeometric-method for the underground water flow.
