[Dottorcomp] PAV-IA: Series of informal lunch seminars about Artificial intelligence

Dear all,

We're pleased to invite you to our upcoming series of *informal* lunch
seminars, *Pav-IA*, hosted by the SIAM Student Chapter of Pavia.

*What is Pav-IA?**:* Pav-IA goes beyond hosting informal talks on specific
AI topics. We explore the breadth and depth of AI applications and
implementations, encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration and
constructive discussions. We welcome both established researchers to share
their expertise, as well as emerging researchers embarking on their AI
journeys.

*Upcoming Seminar:*

   - *Title: *Introduction to Physics-based Machine Learning.


   - *Speaker*: Luca Pellegrini (Ph.D. Student).


   - *Description*: This talk will introduce PINNs (Physics-Informed Neural
   Networks), and if time allows, we'll also explore Physics informed Deep
   Operator Networks.


   - *Where and when: *Tuesday, October 8th, at the Aula Beltrami,
   Department of Mathematics, University of Pavia.

*How it works:*

   - *Presentations:* Participants will present their research topic or an
   article related to Artificial Intelligence, using their preferred
   presentation method  (e.g., whiteboard, slides, etc.).


   - *Prerequisites:* A basic understanding of Machine Learning and
   Artificial Intelligence is assumed.


   - *Schedule:* Bi-weekly on Tuesday, from 13:00 to 14:00. Talks can range
   from 20 to 45 minutes.
