[Dottorcomp] COMPMAT Spring Workshop – May 20, 2026 (first announcement)

[Spring Workshop CompMat]

Dear Colleagues,


We are pleased to announce the upcoming COMPMAT Spring Workshop
<https://sites.google.com/view/compmat-spring-2026/home-page>, which will
take place on May 20, 2026, in *Aula Grande, Department of Political and
Social Sciences, University of Pavia.*

The Spring Workshop is specifically tailored for advanced Master’s
graduates who are considering doctoral studies in Computational
Mathematics, Decision Sciences, Machine Learning, Statistics, and related
disciplines. In addition to serving as an academic forum, the event aims to
foster connections between academia and industry.

During the workshop, some sessions will be dedicated to presentations of
research groups and their areas of expertise, while others will focus on
specific projects. The full program will be published shortly on the
official Spring Workshop website.

Building on the consolidated success of recent years, we are pleased to
once again include a dedicated poster session for PhD students. This
session provides a valuable opportunity to present your academic journey
and research activities, contributing to your end-of-year evaluation and
overall academic development.

We warmly encourage each of you to prepare a poster summarizing your
academic background, research activities, publications, and key results.

You can find a zipped file containing the poster template in the shared
folder at the following link:

Posters should be in A0 format, and the organizing committee will handle
printing. For this reason, we kindly ask you to submit your poster by May 10
by sending it to: compmat.workshop a gmail.com.
