I am  writing to invite your students and researcher collaborators to the
upcoming course that I will teach in Lugano, at USI, from August 17–21,
2026.

The title is "An Introduction to Bayesian Methods for the Social Sciences,”
and will be offered within  the 30th Summer School in Social Sciences
Methods.

The course provides a rigorous yet accessible foundation in Bayesian
statistics, a framework that has become increasingly vital for modeling
complex real-world data. Moving beyond basic inference, we will explore
advanced applications tailored specifically for the social sciences,
including Bayesian regression, variable selection, network data modeling,
and model-based clustering.

The course is designed with a balanced approach, combining theoretical
lectures with hands-on laboratories using R and Stan.

Registration is now open, with places allocated on the
first-come-first-served basis :
