Dear all,

I am writing to announce the PhD course *“Toric Varieties”*, which is part
of the Milano Bicocca - Pavia - Indam PhD program in Mathematics.

The course will introduce the main approaches to toric varieties from an
algebraic geometric viewpoint. Given the extensive literature on the
subject, The main focus will be on highlighting the connections between
different approaches and encouraging hands-on exploration of key examples.

*Prerequisites:* The course is designed to be mostly self-contained,
requiring only foundational knowledge in commutative algebra and algebraic
geometry.

*Course Details:*

   - *Duration:* 12-15 lectures
   - *Schedule:* May 2025 to mid-June 2025
