[Segreteria.iii] PhD Admission 2020/2021 Enrolment with EdiSU Scholarship

Dear Respectable Admission Committee,

I, Babalola Ayodeji Sunday, masters graduate from the Photonics track in
the Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering hereby
humbly appeal to you with regards to the Ph.D. admission 2020/2021 session.


With due respect to the results of the published ranking (of which I
was *ranked
number 20*), I do believe I am capable of conducting excellent research
that will add great value to the university and Italy as a whole.

I am currently a Research Intern in Julight Company (for almost three
months now) where I am being exposed to practical engineering covering the
dynamism of research, innovation, and development of new technologies.

My proposed research topic “ *Distance / Vibration Measurements using
Self-Mixing Laser Interferometry* ” is applied research that will develop
solutions incorporating Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in conjunction with Laser
Vibrometers for vibration measurements. The research will be incorporating
current technologies such as Computer Vision solutions and Galvanometer
systems to measure vibrations in bridges and other structures that are not
easily accessible to man.

I am also confident commercial products will be realized by the end of the
research (an interesting result of the applied research).


I am therefore humbly asking that I am granted enrolment into the Ph.D.
program as I have applied to the *EdiSU scholarship funding*. As I believe
you also know by now, I have a committed supervisor already whom I believe
will gear me towards excellence during the research.


I am sure that your decision to grant this request will be an investment
that will yield great returns in a couple of years and beyond as I am very
confident in giving back first to the university and Italy as a country
before anywhere else.


I am readily available to present myself physically or via conference call
to answer any further inquisitions you might have.
